Dublin, Ireland - VRAI, a data driven virtual reality simulation company will represent Dublin City in the National Enterprise Awards. The awards, an initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, takes place virtually from the Mansion House this evening at 6pm.
VRAI creates data driven virtual reality simulation training for high hazard environments. Its customers range from International Airlines Group (IAG) to the United Nations to a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company. Its HEAT solution combines authentic virtual training environments, with cutting edge data capture and analytics capability, allowing organisations whose activities are risky, remote or rare to train more effectively.

Minister for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English TD, said; “Through the National Enterprise Awards we celebrate the very best in small local companies who are leading in their field of business expertise. Over the past 20 years the awards have been the benchmark for excellence in micro-enterprise across the country. Looking at the list of winners, finalists and participants through the years it is easy to be inspired by our talented businesses and people who are the backbone of outstanding Irish entrepreneurs, many of whom are trading successfully across the globe. This year’s finalists are no different with some exceptional companies shortlisted. VRAI competing against 29 other finalists from every local authority area for a share of the €50,000 prize fund. The overall winner receives a cash prize of €10,000, with category prizes of €5,000. Categories this year include ‘Best Export Business’, ‘Best Future Focused’, ‘Best Innovation’, ‘The Pivot’ and ‘Brexit Ready’ awards, in addition to eight regional awards.
Among the special guests at the announcement are Lord Mayor Hazel Chu, Owen Keegan Chief Executive Dublin City Council and Greg Swift, Head of Enterprise & Economic Development Local Enterprise Office Dublin City.
