Call for projects: Applications for 2025 round of Council of Europe’s Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions are now open

18th February 2025

The Council of Europe's Pilot Programme for Series Co-Productions was launched as a three year pilot programme with the goal of supporting high-quality series structured as international co-productions. This initiative aims to bolster independent producers and foster new collaborations. Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland is proud to be one of the 22 ministries and national agencies across European member states which have come together to financially back this new opportunity for series producers.

The programme offers final-stage funding for series co-productions, with a top-up grant of

either €250,000 or €500,000. This grant is intended for co-productions of audiovisual works in the form of series between independent producers from the participating countries and those in other Eurimages member states, encouraging close collaboration with broadcasters and/or streaming services. Irish producers with a series project with independent producers from Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Spain are all encouraged to apply.

Submitted series can be scripted fiction, animation or documentary work or any combination of these genres. Original stories and adaptations are both eligible. The grant can be awarded to one season of a series only, with a maximum of either 10 episodes or 600 minutes of total duration (animation series projects do not have a maximum number of episodes and shall have a maximum duration of 700 minutes).

This year's deadline for applications is Tuesday, 15th April at 4pm (Irish time).

Applications must be submitted on the Council of Europe's Applications Portal. Please carefully read the full Call for Projects before applying.
